Dish's Advertising Answer

:up Nice ads.

My only critique is that there ARE strings attached, so some of those wouldn't fly as is. Those strings are called the contract you have to sign to get the deal. You might want to rethink that one.

I saw an ad on channel 101 the other day that was great - but the only problem is that I've never seen it anywhere that a non-customer could see it and I've only seen it 1 time. It said something about why pay more for the exact same channels/programming? It also mentioned the hardware/technology is much better than DirecTV.

They occasionally get a good idea through, but never market it to the right audience. Maybe they'll hire you and you can help them get out to the right people.

Who said anything about a contract! I didnt. I belive that if you have the product right from the get go and priced right you wont need a contract because you will build long lasting coustomers who will want to stay with you. Obviously if one doesnt return the equipment then they should get charged for it. Thats why when I put No strings attached, it is indeed No strings attached.....

If we can provide the Dish product, with out all the nickle and dimes and no contract, and its a good deal for you, at a cheaper cost or same cost what your paying now, chances are you will stay with dish. We can call it the dish stiumulius plan, wich leads into My Dish is Insert coustomer comment here.

I can totally rebrand dish and make it effective even with the price decreases. This will bring more coustomers wich will make more money in the end. It takes an invesmtent to bring a return. Also more people would be inclined to have dish if there was no contract. Call me crazy but this would Work. :)

I saw a new twist to the current advertising that Dish has going on right now, I kind of caught the commercial as it was wrapping up, so I did not get it all. It was playing on CNN. In the commerical two guys were sitting around watching sports, saying that something to the fact that they could watch sports without subing to the big out of market packages (Sunday Ticket perhaps) End ended with them saying that they are the HD channel leader and some other items.

Overall the comerical was a bit of an improvement, still needs work, but not to bad

I didn't realize you were changing the current rules in your advertising. I thought you were advertising what they currently have. So sorry.

One currently gets the best deal by signing a contract and a penalty for early termination. I don't think you can get around that and make the business work. The requirement to return the equipment is a string attached and thus a good reason for having a contract. Now if everyone had to buy the equipment up front, then people would have to be aware of that ahead of time.
