DishPro 500 Dish with 4700 Receiver

I upgraded to the 811 receiver, replacing a 4700 model. I'm thinking of using the old 4700 for use in an RV with a DishPro 500 antenna.

Will a 4700 Reciever work with a DishPro 500 dish?

I don't think that the 4700 will work with a DishPro LNBF. Only the newer receivers will work with it.

Hi, the 4700 will work but you will have to buy a dishpro adapter and it would be cheaper to buy a 301 off of Ebay just check to make sure there are no charges against it. The 301 is a faster receiver and stores two days of info in the guide but it does not have the Dolby Digital output if you need it.
