DISHOnl;ine (to 622) Download Time

Before this goes any further I want to make it clear that I am referring to the DISHOnline that works on internet enabled x22 recivers not the PC based application with a similar name.


My limited esperience with it was that it took 3-7 hours to download a moveie. I spoke to someone today who uses it more often than i would and says that his recent experience is that it takes only an hour or so. Has something been done to speed up downloads?

BTW I think that the selection is too limited for this to be a worthwhile feature at any speed but I was curious as to whether this issue has been addresed in some way

It would be extremely difficulty to quantify download times since everyone's internet connection has different throughput rates.

Again the main question here is whether something happened recently to accelerate downloads. Perhaps I shoudl not have mentioned specific download times. I did so only to illustrate the reason ia sked but it may have contributed to the thread moving in a different direction.
