Same with Bama. the SEC is actually pretty lucky when it comes to HD. ESPN usually picks up SEC's top games and CBS sometimes has 2 a week. the worst part about SEC on TV is how atrocious the Lincoln Financial coverage is. it's almost like a punishment
Actually, CBS has first pick over ESPN.
The SEC is the only conference with an exclusive contract with a major OTA network to show it's games. All the others are shared with ABC, except Notre Dame who is on NBC.
The SEC makes big bucks on that CBS contract, which makes it doubtful that they'd make an SEC Network, unless it's ran by CBS.
I contacted Raycom (formerly Lincoln Financial) about a month ago regarding their HD plans and got a reply that they will start broadcasting football and basketball in HD beginning this coming fall.
