I would be shocked if those CSRs even knew what satellites they have. They just know what channels you are suppose to get according to your account or package.

My interest was more to making sure the changes/upgrade would be free. They are, so that's good. I was also thinking about changing over to 61.5 now as opposed to waiting, but I guess it's better to sit tight and see what happens. I was just thinking about beating the rush to switch over.

Dallas HD locals on 61.5? Wow!

And Houston, and AUSTIN !!!!!!!!!!!!

I sure hope my Dish 1000 can be refurbed to get all the sats I need with only one dish.

FWIW I think I'm beginning into understand the delay in new channels until the Eastern Arc gets fully populated. If the Texas HD locals are going to be on 61.5, it sure would be nice to have the other channels over close to it.

Yeah I would think that they will mirror somethings from 61.5 to the 129.. 129 will be better I would think once they get the new Sat up for it just like the one for 61.5..

Maybe, I don't watch Jericho. New Bern part of Greenville-Washington-New Bern, NC dma. I believe transmission to Dish originates out of New Bern.

This is good news. Looks like NBCU and Dish are ironing out their issues. We might be closer getting SCI-FI & USA in HD in the near future. Chiller is owned by NBCU FYI.

Agreed. I dont think dish wants the expense of making everyone in certain cities have to get new or additional dishes.
