i was wondering how many of you ever drive home from work and spot tons of buds that you would love to take with you. there must be at least 30 in just a 7 mile radius i know of. one a 12 ft paraclypse, a ten ft clypse, about 6 of the steel white dishes, one of them a 12 footer, one 10 ft mesh on a 20 ft pole? an 8 ft mesh in a vacant house, i mean there are dishes out there and i am gonna get a storage shed and start getting them. most will probably give them away. what is sad is the 10 ft paraclipse is used for an umbrella and a 12 ft steel dish is laying out in a yard. also two more mesh dishes on vacant property, one is practality in the woods, people havent mowed in years it looks like. what is the best excuse to tell the wife? i am starting a sat business? i am gonna make money off parts? i guess us dish guys are kinda like those guys who have 20 junk cars in there yards. except people dont say they are crazy like they do us!

It is pretty safe to say, most of us here notice satellite dishes wherever they may be. Especially if it appears to be abandoned or unused. I try to figure out what they are pointed at. Recently from work I spotted a satellite tech replacing a dish on a bank nearby. I was thinking of a reason to sneak out and ask what they were going to do with the old one. By lunch they were gone. Since then,I have been thinking about obtaining a used commercial dish to experiment with. I bet it ended up in a huge dumpster somewhere.

That hurts. Lost opportunities. I'll tell you, it all depends on the individual. I myself have no problem going up to a stranger, or a stranger's home to ask about a dish. :) Maybe I've been lucky.

Now that would really hurt! Almost as bad as someone wanting to grow vines to cover a Birdview! ;)
