Dishes in my area

Hi people. Im gonna order a viewsat extreme fta receiver. I will get the dishes locally but don't know what type to get. I don't know about dish types or models neither the reception I would get with each one.

Some friends here in San Juan (PuertoRico) told me I need two dishes to receive the signal from their viewsat's (they use dish network ones). I want to get the most channels posible.

Would really appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance!
