Dish w/ direct dish

As the title states, could I use a direct dish pointed at the same satellites with dish? If so, I would assume that they also could work vice versa?

No, the equipment (Dish, LNB, Receivers) is not interchangeable.

edit: Dish and Directv dishes also point different satellite locations

DISH & Directv share the satellite locations 110 & 119 and Legacy DISH LNBs and Directv old dual LNBs are compatible but that is about it.
