I just went to Direct TV's interactive system builder and man there really is NO comparison. I have 2 VIP 211's, a 622 running 2 tv's with Dish DVR Advantage pack + HD +HBO and my bill will be $73 with the only equipment cost was for the 622 due to being a current Dish customer of $99 after rebate. On Direct with basically their package of $59.99 + HD I would have to buy 2 HD receivers for $198, then buy a HD DVR for $199 after $100 rebate then purchase a standard receiver for $99, a total startup cost to me of a whopping $398! OUCH! Not even a comparison if you ask me. Oh and did I mention a pitiful HD package of about 7 channels awful! For all the complaints that I read Dish is #1 for satellite!
