Dish VIP722 work with Direct tv?

I have the Dish VIP722 and was wondering if it would work with Direct TV?

Are they compatible?

If so, what do I need to do to make it work?

None of the Dish receivers will work with DirectV service. They are not compatible.

If you are asking if the Dish receivers will work with DirectV dishes, the answer is qualified yes. The older single LNB (eye) dishes will work, but with Dish needing 3 LNBs for all channels, the single LNB units are maginally workable.

But you still couldn't use a Dish receiver to watch DirecTV programming, or vice versa. Dish receivers get Dish programming, DirecTV receivers get DirecTV programming.
