am i the only one with problem when i pause live tv for 5 or 10 minuets then start playing after about 10 minuets it start to skip and stutter just like a bad CD for 3 to 5 seconds right when i want to hear what they say it got worse over time every 5 minuets some times i have to hit pause to get it to stop it was perfect on live tv as soon as i pause it and start playing it again it skips every 5 minuets then it started to skip on my recorded shows dish sent me another dvr and less than 2 weeks it started to skip so im waiting for a new one to show up

My 612's don't do this. I think your disk has gone bad.

Mine will do it on occasion, I suspect it's related to a loss of signal.

Mine do it rarely and not as severe as you describe. It's been weeks or more like months since I saw it happen. And if I pause again that fixes it.

I only notice it on recorded shows, hitting the skip button will correct it and I can skip back and it'll play fine. I mainly notice it with OTA channels.

Sounds like the ViP612 is elderly and not long for this world. They all have old HDDs and electronics.
