Dish VIP 2114 keeps shutting itself off.

When my wife started to watch American Idolatry tonight, the TV went blank. I checked the satellite receiver and it was off. I turned it back on, and less than a minute later it shut down. I did this repeatedly with the same results. I checked the power connections and they were good. The little blue pilot light on the bottom right hand corner flickers and is dim and then it shuts down.
Bad receiver? It's less than a year old!

It could be a bad receiver. Try unplugging it to reset it (about 20 seconds), and plug it into a different outlet (bypass any power strip/surge protector) to see if that makes a difference. If it still shuts down, most likely it'll need to be replaced.
