I've watched 15 minutes or so on my DVR'd 411 and it's enough to clearly see the terminator advance from East to West. I wonder if there is an automatic gain on the camera so after the sun goes behind the Earth (hmm, let's see, 110?W and 15? per hour, let's say around 07:20 GMT?) But then, it might not be totally dark as it is almost a month after the vernal equinox and it looks like we can almost see the north pole, so there may be a sliver of the arctic ice cap illuminated. If there is AGC, then maybe we can scope out the cities on the dark side of the Earth...

Maybe Dish should have made this an Interactive App?

I wonder if we will see sunrise and sunset at some point (in September I am guessing)? Or perhaps a moonrise? That should take place more often: every couple of weeks, if I am not mistaken. Maybe even more often, depending on how long the lense is.

There is a glare because of the sun's position.

Think of it like the world's most powerful flashlight shining on a little speck about 1,000,000 times smaller than the bulb at a far away angle (but only this one is out in space and on a scale millions of times larger)...

They really need to adjust the camera. I understand the problem of having one really bright part of the image and a really dark part. They need to adjust the camera to show the detail in the bright part of the image. Once the sun moves past 50% of the picture it becomes useless.
