I see that Dish Smart Home Services installs cellular signal repeaters/boosters on Amazon. I am curious. Are those just regular Dish techs who do the work?

Pretty sad they have their techs repairing washing machines, cell phone boosters and repairing screens on iPhones when they should be out installing only dishes

Pretty sad that every company is losing subscribers but only Dish Network is diversifying into other revenue streams. Why do you even post in this forum?

Or, you know, it is what it is, and the reality is people who can install dishes can do a lot of other things that keep them employed and make the company money. I notice AT&T has DirecTV vans doing Fiber installs in my 'hood, which presumably includes telephony, security, smart home, and whatever else they are shilling these days. How is that different exactly?

Well he's got a point.. they are repairing washers for pennys or well all they are doing is adding a few brackets while at times messing up the washers.
My uncle does appliance repair and goes back behind them a lot. These guys are good at installing, that is what they are trained to do. You don't see doctors running around changing people's oils or repairing their HVAC.
The smart home services was the worst decision to take advantage of people already scraping to save money.

It's actually a hell of a lot more extensive than that. The washing machine recall work was one thing. The repair, and it's not just appliances, those guys are only doing that stuff and are being trained pretty extensively. I read about it all on the portal. BTW, it's not something I have any desire to do

I applaud Dish for finding different ways of keeping there Installers busy . I am sure that they are well trained in the tasks that they are given. I would not have a problem if they showed up to fix a appliance. I had a Samsung microwave break . Samsung mailed me several boxes of parts . A repair man and has partners showed up to fix it and spoke no English at all . They fixed it and a few months later the door and glass fell off. So now it’s in the land fill .
