If the agreement with Dish and SkyAngel was for 10 years, we should be nearing the end of that time soon. Does anyone know what the exact date is?

Will SkyAngel be able to survive that? Are they anywhere near launching their own satellite? If so, would they ever have their own equipment?

I think there are two or three years left on the latest contract that included E*3 and the transponder lease agreements.

There is nothing that says they can't extend the agreemtent.

Why would Dish do this? Because Sky Angel still owns 8 transponders at 61.5° Dish still wants to use transponders at 61.5°. With the agreement Dish gets to use 6 additional transponders for very little out of pocket cost.

How close is Sky Angel to launching their own satellite? AFAIK they haven't even ordered one at this point. It takes 18 months to several years from the time a satellite is ordered to the time its ready for launch.

See ya
