if i am hooking single receiver to single lnb do i need switch in between the connection ?

or do i just take cable hook it to lnb to the receiver ?

Thanks for the help

A switch is needed for 2 or more LNBs or when connecting more than 2 receivers to 1 LNB. Just run the RG6 through a ground block then on to the receiver.

Fyi

I tried that way and receiver did not recognize the lnb. found why
if you legacy lnb than it needs a switch.
hooked up legacy lnb to switch and to the receiver works fine.

thanks :)

What are you trying to do?

If you have a single LNB (or dual),. No switch is needed for one slot (119 only, 61.5 only)

If you have 2 duals for 110 & 119, then a switch is needed

Twins have switch built in : )
