Dish Scapes on 199 is interesting

How many people have seen the bridge rise for the gingerbread cookie to walk thru and the big bear in the background wave, or the top of the Christmas present under the tree open and the elf pop up.

For me the background noise is very distracting. Sounds like vehicle noise on a multilane highway. Peace and quiet would be more appropriate.

For me I turn it in then set my AVR to tune into Santa Radio on IHeartradio. And have all the Christmas lights and tree on. :)

Right now, 305 is just a red dot with the stylized Dish “i” regenerating. Anyone else seeing this? Or it’s just another problem with my H3 install?

Sorry about the reflections.

At some point over the past 24 hours, the Christmas Music was added to the Dish Scape on 199. No more "natural sounds" but Instrumental Christmas songs.
Smart move. We would have left it on more had they done that earlier in the month.

I see that we are headed for Denali, Alaska next month. This is the Dish Scape created from viewer submitted entries. I don't know if the person who suggested it is on this forum. I'm ready to move on from the mostly static Christmas scene.

The melody guitar & bass line in the night-time scene has become an ear-worm for me. I'm humming it at work... Anyone have a clue who that is? Kinda sounds like he's got a slide on his little finger...ala Chris Rea or Craig Chaquico's soft guitar stylings from years (decades) past.... Someone please help me reclaim my sanity before I have to unpack my EQ and phase-out the wind so I can hear it better.
Just saw this elsewhere - Department Store Opening - Jean-Philippe Ichard (although you can't hear it anymore now that they replaced the sound track with a Christmas playlist).

I really like the Denali scape but I have to add this criticism. It's really great and appropriate to see them acknowledge the winner, but the way they do it, by flashing a full screen congratulations that completely obliterates the scene destroys the ambiance of the experience. The congratulations could have been incorporated into the scene by having the plane pulling a large banner across the screen. The creators need to show a little more creativity and imagination.

Beautiful Denali scene. I think we've seen all the features now. It's nicely done.

Just a curiosity, but I note that there's no "sponsored by" indication this month. We even watched the plane fly over to see if it had any kind of dish logo on it but didn't see one.

Most certainly, in Alaska in the summer there would be plenty of bugs around the lake - personally, I'm glad they were left out.

I kind of expected the northern lights, very pretty. A bit surprised that there aren't any shooting stars during the night scene.

Glad to see Big Foot back from his Caribbean vacation.

Not a fan of the disruptive credit screen. Seems there could have been a less obtrusive way to give credit for the great photo.

Maybe there's no "sponsored by" ad because it's the contest winner scape which is advertised twice each hour by the congratulations notice which I mentioned in an earlier post.

My favorite was the haunted house run last year. It even had a Dish satellite on top of the house.
