Dish remote to control Samsung Home Theater

I have the dish vip 622 and the samsung ht-q45 receiver/dvd home theater. I would like the aux on my dish remote to control the volume on the receiver. I have tried several manual codes as well as the auto code tool on the remote. I only care about the volume, so if there is a code that will just allow that part to work I would be forever grateful. Please help

Yeah, I haven't been able to get it working with my HT-DB600. Tech support said it wouldn't be possible.

I also have a samsung ht-q45. I can't get my new VIP722 remote to work with the ht-q45. Not happy about it.

Not many of the combination units be it, TV/VCR/DVD, Surround Sound/DVD, or DVD/VCR will work. There is not a code for any of the units I see listed above, that I know of.
