I guess that's more definitive than "soon".

They didn't say what year though.I guess that's more definitive than "soon".
"this Spring" means this year! They didn't say what year though.
I would be surprised if they don't get Disney Jr.I would also be surprised if they don't have every Disney Espn channel available.
My local paper has something online, as of 2:46pm (it's just something they're pushing from the AP). As I commented previously, they state:I would have swore one of those articles cited that Dish would need to re-write the autohop s/w.Finding it now would be like a needle in a haystack though.
The bold is added by me... On the other hand, this is business news, not technology news, so I guess it's understandable to some degree. As part of the new rights deal, Dish Network Corp. agreed to disable — for three days after the initial broadcast — a function on its Hopper digital video recorders that allows people to automatically record and strip out commercials from prime-time weeknight programming.
What about the mobile apps like WatchESPN?
And Dish should have ESPNNEWS, ABC Family and Disney in HD already from before. Should just need to be reuplinked.
When Scott announced the deal was made. Now that a deal has been done and while we are awaiting the new HD and other stuff, time to reflect on this thread, what was your favorite moment?
Why would you want sports in 1080i.When we get all the channels in HD can we use this thread to complain that they are only in 720p and not 1080?
Until we get 1080p on broadcast I would rather watch sports progressive and 720p is the only way. That's the spirit!
To watch sports or fast motion 720p is still better than 1080i. That is why ESPN chose 720.I would rather have 1080i or 1080p over 720p.
