Yes but if Disney were to put conditions like you can't use a service like Aereo in order to get our channels, I think the FTC would look into it. Restraint of trade and things like that, you know.

The balance is Disney needs a deal to tie down Dish for several years. A long deal makes it so the money keeps rolling in and technology changes can be held off - for a bit. A short deal just brings the Aereo discussion back in a year, or two, or whatever.

Yeah, Scott already said he saw the uplink schedule for the remainder of the month. That is, the 'normal' uplinks - nothing Disney or ESPN on the list.

When the deal is done, they'll probably launch immediately, unless there is some date that is set in the contract. No need to wait till Wednesday. I give the chance of it popping up today 365 to 1.
