Dish question

Can this dish be used as a mini bud project?

DIRECT TV WORLD DIRECT 36" INTERNATIONAL SATELLITE DISH

If so what bracket should i use for it, to hold the c-band lnb.

an opinion:

Their World dish is elliptical, if I recall.
So, 36" wide, and -how- high? 24", maybe?
It might get something, but it would be pretty poor for C-band.

I'm waiting for someone to try a DirecWay dish.
They're 39" wide, and 23" tall.

Matching a C-band feedhorn to any elliptical dish would be hard, causing additional loss over a round dish.

cool, thanks for the reply, ill scratch it off my list still want to get that 48" offset but i need to save up for that shipping.

Eight hours of gas is still a lot cheaper than having it shipped!
Besides, you'd get to meet all the good folks at SatelliteAV !

I darned near drove over late last year, but it's eight hours one-way for me.
I was wanting to get either a 6' or 8' dish! . . . in my Camry sedan...
