Guy came and hauled off my unused 12' fiberglass dish today, let him have it for a twenty. Said he was going to make a roof for a birdhouse (Guess he meant 'aviary?')
Couldn't do anything with it myself, had it 15yrs or so, it was a closeout item from a Birmingham sat dealer from the 80s and 90's. They dumped the c-band stuff about 1995-96. It was orphaned, no mount, no lnb support, just the dish petals. It never had a life as a satellite dish, so maybe it will get put to use someplace lol. Put it together once, lying on the grass, lordy it was heavy, with nothing on it, unwieldy.
Always wondered if it was any good but never had the need to fix it up , with other c-band mesh types coming my way.

Yep mine grew when everybody got tired of all their favorites scrambling, then going digital, people started giving me all their c-band stuff and buying into pizza dishes. Still got a 10' to go take down when I get time, helped install it about 1995 or so. Hope its a SAMI but I forget...
