Dish part name

I have a dish 500 system in a mobile installation and need to replace the piece that the dish itself mounts to. This is the piece that has the LNB arm and the skew and elevation adjusters. Need name and part number if possible. Called dish and they are clueless. Go figure.

Your best bet would probably be to just buy a complete new dish. Probably be just as cheap or cheaper too.

As DISH doesn't sell parts, it isn't surprising that they couldn't figure out what you were asking for.

They used to sell parts. That is what is so aggravating about it. One call and they were shipped out. But that was eons ago.

The pic you posted.... That is called a polar plate, or skew plate. Either one is acceptable.

Man, there must be thousands of those dishes still stuck on masts all over America. Shouldn't be too hard to find a complete dish in your neighborhood that's not being used.

I would ask an apartment complex if they know of any tenants that may have left without taking that with them. Get a new 1k.x series for free. Or a small tip to the apartment manager. I took 3 from my friends moving apartments. Lol.
