Dish owner DSL alternative - Mediacom now offering cheap internet only package

I just returned to Dish after using mediacom for the last 18 months.

I've been very happy with the dish service and the hardware, I love the 722 and 322.

One thing I have hated is DSL through Qwest, the fastest I could get was 1.5 MPS and it was $32.99. It was a huge step down from Cable internet.

So I did some checking and found a deal to get mediacom stand alone internet service 8MPS for $34.95 a month for 12 months(no contract). Usually it's $60.00.

I dropped Qwest and now have medicom and it is awesome. So now I have the best of both worlds.

This obviously applies to Direct customers too.

Where did you see this deal at? Is it a new customer only deal?

They had 2 deals, 1 for current customers without internet and 1 deal for non cable customers.

I went to this site and put in my address and it gave me a few deal options. It may vary by address location:
