So my grandparents basically have Dish for two channels - one for him, in the living room and one for her in the kitchen. They literally keep the remotes in storage so nothing gets screwed up, and just turn the TVs on or off with the TV power button. But lately they are complaining about a "warning 807" message that keeps popping up at random times of the day. I called about it, made sure all premium channels were cancelled, and they said I still had to hit OK on the remote three times when the message shows up... Problem is, I'm never around when it shows up. Is there anything that can be done to get rid of the message and yet avoid spending all day watching TV waiting for it?

If it's the py your bill message, than all you can do is select ok three consecutive times. Even after paid

They are on credit card auto pay... How can it be a billing issue?

They have a 222k.

It's a message about a premium programming offer that expires in three days. They already canceled all the premiums. The message has been bugging them (and now me) for weeks.

I must say, I've never heard of someone hiding the remote and only watching a single channel (or 2). Might you not get them a limited aftermarket remote that could give them some functionality but keeping them out of trouble?

Not sure about that message then. I can say the 222 does have the buttons on the front of the receiver, on the right side, behind the door.

I've discovered the message occurs almost exactly at 12:10PM and 4:28PM. Hopefully I can catch it next time to hit the select button on 'OK'. Hopefully that will make it go away for good.

Is TCM finally in HD?

Is VOD quality the same as Dish?
