Yep, y'all are right, I wasn't paying attention. 1000 / 136 gives an average of 7-8 channels per market which is about right I guess. At first glance that number sounded ridiculously high.

Simple forumula: 7 in Portland + 5 in Eugene = 12 goddamned channels crammed on one transponder = all channels look like crap.

There's over 2000 channels in the system including all the mirrors, test channels, slates and audio channels.
