Dish Network to Launch New Adult Channel

As you may have seen elsewhere I have posted that Dish Network is getting ready to launch a new XXX adult channel called "Private Fantasy" from the reports I have read and received this channel is up and running on Channel 492 and has been for two months, although it is not available to the public yet.

Here is a press release from the channels parent Company "Private" which announces the launch but does not list who is carrying the channel

The Lyngsat Satellite Chat also verifies this channel being on channel 492, it is airing from the 110 Satellite Transponder 25.

I understand the content much like Xtasy is totally unedited.

No word when Dish will (parden the pun) "turn on" the channels for customers.

I remember a Charlie Chat from probably five years ago. Somebody asked Charlie about porn. Charlie stated flatly that E* had absolutely no interest in offering any porn channels. They referred to porn as "adult channels", of course.

I guess the money was just too good to pass by.

This channel will probably be blocked out in Tennessee just like Xtasy is. Who's freak'n idea was that!?! No person should be able to control what is and is not on my TV. Especially some crooked politician.

I doubt that it is subsidizing customer's rates by $10 each, perhaps less than $5. It is meant for profit for them.

You would think some of the first HD channels they would add would be the adult channels since they bring in some of the highest profits for the company. They would probably charge extra for the HD feeds, if they would even offer it monthly. They are already expensive enough as it is.

I emailed the Retailer Chat today asking when this Fantasy Channel would be launched, I just got a reply a few moments ago, the reply was...

Unfortunately, we don't have a definite date for the launch of this channel. Further announcements will be made on the Retail chats or Facts blast.
