Dish Network, Sprout Please!

Can you please Add PBS SPROUT! I never realized how much my daughter watches this channel untill we realized this swiching from DirecTV! Its actually one of the best kids channels out there. Cheeka is cool, as well as all the seseme street gang. I belive Dish Network is the ONLY provider who doesnt carry this channel. I have also heard soooo much from other parents that their kids watch this channel too, as well as how much they love this channel for their kids. My daugher also loves falling asleep with star and Nina on her tv and the bed time stories that they share.

Dish you would be crazy not to pick up this channel and Im surprised you dont have it, as the value of this channel would increase the straingth of your channel lineup when it comes to kids programming.

Dish does basically what it wants and if Dish sees no value in an individual channel carriage ,we problably wont see it.Sometime however the reason Dish wont/cant carry a certain channel may be that ,for example Directv may have contracted with Sprout for a certain time to carry their channel if they dont allow other Carriers to carry.I know its dirty politics but it does happen.
However Dish does carry alot of Childrens programming and you can also possibly receive some PBS programming ,if you cant find a certain show go online and check to see if you can purchase.Dish is very selective when adding new channels and you can get very frustrated waiting .But it never hurts to bobard them with requests.

I doubt that is the case here as Dish is the ONLY provider not providing sprout! If there was some sort of contract in place for exclusive carrage then we wouldnt see sprout on comcast/ uverse/ directv / TCN/ Warner, ect get my drift. It would only be on one provider.

My kid wants to see star and Cheeka wich is not avaliable anywhere else except for sprout. Its obvious every other multichannel provider out there sees the value in the channel, could it be that dish is wrong? Thats a shocker! Really the only way to get the channel added is by requesting it! While dish does carry alot of childrens programming, they dont carry the best one out there, sprout!

Please if you would like to see this channel added, please do request it.

If there is enough demand for the channel, then Charlie will add it. Otherwise forget about it. It also depends on the cost of the channel. If it is cheap then Cheap Charlie might just add it, MAYBE!!!

Maybe you should be quiet and listen to what the big boys have to say. Once you've gotten some more experience, maybe they will let you post. Until then, you should sit back and learn from some of the masters.

Try channel 159 I rediscovered Freddy on it.

I also put a request in for SPROUT, it would be a great addition.

To be honest, there are no more absolutely must haves for me except my local CBS in HD. A few HD additions (BBC-America, E!, etc.) would be nice but that is more of a want then a need.
