DISH Network Signal Strength

Hi,

So, DISH tech came today, fixed my signal strength. It was a tree foliage issue. Tech went above and beyond expectations, nearly fell off the roof trying to get a tree limb that was up high down so he could cut it. I grabbed him a set of pole pruners, and gave them to him, got that stupid branch right out of the way!

Also, he gave me a local number, and a name, said it was his supervisor, and that I can call at any time if the tree manages to get in front of the dish again. Said it will be no charge to get someone out as opposed to calling the toll free number and paying $15. Very happy with that!

Rain fade on Turbo HD Dish

Hi to all. I had a new Turbo HD Dish and VIP 722K installed on 6/30. Have had three thunderstorms since then and HD channels have gone out each time. I have had Dish out three times (third time this pm). My culprit seems to be Sat 129Signal strength is 52 on tp 21. During rain, it drops to 12 and HD disappears. 119 tp 19 is 69 and drops to 52 during rain. 110 tp 21 is 70 and drops to 67 during rain. I am hoping tech can tweek the dish enough to get 129 in the 70's. Any hints or suggestions?

You won't get that high. I spent a half hour tweaking mine and was lucky to get 65. Is it during only rain or also high wind? If so you might have something in the way once the wind blows the foliage in the way.
