Dish network remote to Polaroid DRA 01601A DVD-Recorder, what is the code?

I have a Dish IR/UHF Pro remote model 6.4. I want to program it to operate a Polaroid 01601A DVD recorder. Does anyone know the code? It is not 385 as reported on one site. Thanks.

Some DVR Players are not coded, many Recorders are not coded, likely all DVD-VDR player or recorder combos are not coded.
Remember they will only respond to IR signals. Of course, Dish only outputs IR on other than on the Sat setting, where it does RF only.

I now have a Dish 21.1 remote but it will not learn from the Polaroid remote. Any suggestions?

Also try the Philips codes. But there's no reason the polaroid codes wouldn't be learnable. What is your learning procedure exactly?

I followed the instructions on this site for a 2-way Dish remote, published 12/19/2008. I tried both the hybrid mode and the normal mode. My other device remotes can teach the learning remote, but I have no success with the Polaroid. I tried both the VCR mode and the AUX mode on the 21.0.

You may need to use a Philips/Magnavox universal remote to control both the DISH receiver and the Polaroid recorder.

Still can't think of any reason the learns would fail. The polariod uses the most common protocol there is: NEC1, Device 0, so there's nothing unusual or complex about the signals. Maybe your learning memory is already full.

mdavej, Thanks for the codes. How do I program these into a Dish 21.0 remote? Can I clear the existing memory for DVD and AUX modes to make more space? I am a newbie and have not been able to program the Dish remote to the Polaroid Power/ON/OFF button so I can't get past the first step.

Sorry for the confusion. Those codes only work with the RCA remote (or other one-for-all) I posted. There is no solution for your Dish remote besides learning, which isn't working for you. It was suggested that only a philips remote would work. I was pointing out that other remotes will also work, offering a complete solution with codes for all your devices and every function of your Poloariod recorder. Harmony remotes will also work but are much more expensive.

I don't know how to clear the learning memory in the Dish remote. Have you tried these AUX codes: 1521 1548 1906 1910?
