The press release doesn't say anything about Turner's unique way to taking SD material and innovatively making it HD the their process of upconversion.

"just in time for the first round of the playoffs"

Is he kidding? Just in time would have been Wednesday morning. They missed 2 days of playoff games.

I'm happy that baseball fans got their HD fix......and the picture quality was quite good. Unfortunately, when the playoffs are over the euphoria will quickly die. This channel is a clone of TNT-HD with the awful "Stretch-o-vision" and lack of original or compelling HD programming. I would like this channel more if they would find some syndicated programming available in HD and simply up-convert SD programming without stretching the picture......almost every HD TV allows you to do this if you choose.

I took more humor in the 48 national channels. They must be counting the HDPPV's, which is complete crap. But I guess if the competition is doing it...

One slight correction. It's only national if AK and HI are not counted as being national. Neither 61.5 or 129 are viewable from these two states.

When I try to access channel 139 HD, I get the dreaded "satellite signal has been lost" "satellite trying to acquire signal..."

when I called Customer Service the person from India or the Phillipines or where ever they source it out stated that she knows of no HD for TBS!!

What is the story??

BTW, I don't live in HI or Alaska, I live in Ohio

Thanks

Must admit that I have been pleasantly surprised by the reasonably good PQ of the games. I've seen a lot of "HD" baseball games that have more motion artifacts than what I'm seeing on TBS right now. Watching these games in HD has been great.

I love that they count them twice.
