I am pretty sure we are going to make the switch from D* to E*. We "camp" a lot and have always taken our D* receiver and extra dish with use when we go, will we still be able to do this with E*? We would want just the basics, no HD (not yet any way;) ) and locals if possible.

Thanks in advance.

The "locals" will remain your "home" local channels, if you're not too far to receive them, and not the locals for the area you're camping at. The receiver doesn't know where it's at and automatically get the local locals.

:) complete and totally portable! there spotbeam foot prints are quite large. my San Diego locals are good as far east as Phoenix AZ and las Vegas NV and to the north half way up the Calif coast line. i have found the 2ft trypod stand for roof installs is very light and folds down flat. that and a extra dish 500 and you will be set. don't plug the receiver into any phone line out side your house. good luck!:welcome
