Hello

Currently I have DirecTV at my house with 2 dishes installed - 1 for HD and 1 for the international programming as I subscribe to the only Brazilian channel DirecTV has left. I want to switch to DISH to get all the Brazilian channels and I have subscribed but nobody could install at my house.

The issue is.... I have a intelligent home with a panel which distributes the internet/cable signals all over the home and I have 2 lines that go outside of the home. 1 of the lines is being used by the Time Warner for the internet. The other line is used by DirecTV with a MULTISWITCH. Dish mentioned they cannot split the signal as it is high frequency and they need to run 5 extra lines (wow) inside of my house. I found this outrageous, how can a system that calls so advanced not be able to do that ?

Does anyone has any suggestion on what could be done to have it installed? I need to install on 5 TV's.

I can provide pictures of my house if needed.

Thank you!

Send me a PM. I might be able to help you out in your area. For five rooms you will need a minimum of one more line to your panel. Two dedicated lines into your panel. A third line can be used to combine the satellite and cable signal down one cable into the panel. From there, those two signals can be separated again. It will also depend on what type receivers you will be getting installed. The big point here is whether or not additional lines can be installed to your panel. If you have crawl space and the panel is on the first floor, it shouldn't be a problem. If the panel is on the first floor and it is located in a closet in the interior of the home, then that would be a big problem. Homes in your area can go either way. (Slab or crawl space) Send me a PM to discuss further.
