DISH Network Holiday Channels

Well folks with Halloween just past us its time for the Christmas Music to start.

DISH Network will be carrying a number of Holiday Music Channels and starting tomorrow afternoon the following channels will be in Free Preview mode thought 1-13-16.

SiriusXM Holly - 6013 (Mapdown Channel 90
VMARI - 819 (Mapdown Channel 91)
MUZK2 - 949 (Mapdown Channel 92)
AUD20 - 947 (Mapdown Channel 93)

Kind of disappointed it does not appear they will be carrying my favorite Holiday channel, that being Sirius XM's Holiday Traditions which is now available on SiriusXM Channel Limited Edition Channel 18 (Not available on DISH)

I was so upset about Holiday Traditions not being available this year that I got ahold of Dish Network (lol, I know). But I was told that it WILL be available! They checked on it twice, I think they got a kick out of me being upset They don't have a channel picked out for it yet & that's why it looks like it wont be offered. But it will be there around Thanksgiving time!

It is barely past Halloween!

I harken back to the day when Christmas was a holy holiday that was forsaken for materialism and money and not this "holiday" with this absurdly crass onslaught of in your face commercialism (and steep in materialism and money).

Goodness help me if they start piping in the bad music in stores soon, especially if that awful Paul McCartney song is played!

The stores replaced the Halloween isle with Christmas stuff. I see the network stores are already pushing early Black Friday sales. I can remember when we went Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving and there was nobody in the stores. Never again.

Heck...Kmart and Walmart here both had Christmas stuff out almost a month ago.

Well, Dish usually starts with just AUD20 and MUZK2, then rolls out the other channels in the following weeks. So, I will be glad to be able to get all four of those tomorrow. Christmas (music) is coming early this year! Usually the previews end a little earlier in January than the 13th. So, we are getting extended listening at the end of this preview as well.

Dish is bringing back the Fish Tank Channel? (Hey, I can dream.)

One store I was in last week had a Halloween isle and the isle next to it was Xmas.

At our Lowes store when you walk in, there is a display of Thanksgiving and Halloween together and behind that you have Christmas decorations. So you can take your pick of which Holiday you want to celebrate.

I walked into the local mall today (Nov 3) and they were playing Christmas music. And since it's a Simon mall I bet all the Simon malls are doing this. Yuck!!!!!
