i can not record 1 channel and watch another ?? they have some splitter job going on - on the back of the receiver ?? help

Are you talking about a "Separator"? THat's pretty standard.

Go to System Info and see if you've got all your satellites on both tuners.

And if you need more help, you need to gve us more info. A LOT more info.
