Dish Music App question?

I'm listening to Pandora on my Hop 3 and it's bad. You're right but not when I fast forward, just the next song 2 out of 3 times just skips to the last minute right after it starts.

I have 1GB/s Fiber with a Gigabyte dual band router, Hopper connected to the 5G network so I know it's not the connection
It is not just the Hopper 3. I noticed the same thing on my Wally. Maybe not quite as often as you said, but often enough to be annoying.

I'm pretty convinced my Pandora will never be fixed it has been broken from day one on my H3 a day after they released the H3, no matter how many updates it has stayed the same.

Interestingly, awhile back I was reading about users of older Directv HR receivers reporting the exact same problem with their Pandora app. I haven't been following that problem lately to know if it ever got fixed, but it does lead me to believe that the problem might not be on Dish's end, or at least not entirely.

For me, Pandora works correctly using Definitive Technology's DTS app, it works correctly using my television's app, it works correctly using my Roku app, it works correctly using my WD media player, and it works correctly using my iPhone. So I seriously doubt that the problem is with Pandora.

After listening to the Pandora app on my Wally for awhile this morning, I am starting to think that the problem is only with certain specific songs (although there are a lot of songs with the problem). That would explain why sometimes it works flawlessly for awhile, and sometimes a few songs in a row will have the skipping problem. It all depends on your playlist. Perhaps it would help if we start a new thread (preferably a sticky thread) listing the songs in the Pandora app that skip, in order to help the Dish engineers find the problem and fix it. One example is "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" by Genesis. It skipped in exactly the same spot both times I heard it this morning. There are other songs that as soon as they start playing, I know they are going to skip, because I have heard them skip at least once before.

Another good example is "Shout" by Tears For Fears. It starts out:

"Shout. Shout. Let it all out.
These are the things I can do without."

And at that point, someone at Pandora apparently decided "Yep, I can do without the rest of this song." :biggrin

I would have to agree with that person....

Well, if you don't like my taste in music, then which songs have been skipping for you? Is there any pattern that you have noticed?
I'm going to put on Pandora in a bit and make a list. 2 that come to mind from the other day are One by Metallica and War Pigs by Black Sabbath

Someone at Pandora definitely has a sense of humor.

The song "Mandolin Rain" by Bruce Hornsby starts with the line: "Song came and went."

At that point, it immediately skips to the end of the song.
