Dish made TV's?

The problem with black is all these companies make it shiny black.
I don't want to see reflections.

Yeah I don't like glossy screens. I make sure all of my TVs/monitors are matte. They're getting harder to find. Glossy works OK in rooms with proper light control, I do have a glossy screen in the den.

We had 2 of these CRT HDTVs. When the 921s were the only HD receiver, they cost $995 to buy and were hard to come by. I was on a wait list for 1 year. On a Charlie Chat an offer was made to get either a 34" CRT or 40" rear projection HDTV and a 921 receiver for $995. We bought 2 and they were installed immediately. Basically the tvs were free or the receivers were free. We used these tvs for 8 years. The larger screen flat panels we replaced them with have a hard time matching those 2 HD34 for picture quality. The people we gave them away to with the proviso they move them( 175 lb) out of the house are still using them.

We sold several dozen televisions. Dish was pulling this crap limiting the inventories of the 921 at the time and forced us to take a bundel for around $1100 which included a 921 and a TV.

The cost on the 921 was around $900 at the time, so we bought the bundel and then blew off the TV's for around $250.

Not a bad deal at the time since these TV's where selling for around $700 retail.

The only problem is that all the TV's had issues within a few years, and Dish refused to pay to have them fixed under warranty and opted to simply refund the customers money instead.

I had a lot of people pist off because they paid $250 for the TV from me, Dish wanted to pay them $250 to end the issue with having to repair it, and a new television was again several hundred dollars to replace.

Got good use out of my 40 inch rear projection for several years, until one of the colors went bad. The 37 CRT was nice, but too dam heavy to move

Next is gonna be stainless steel, to match your appliances (if not already).;)

Yup. Already available. Saw an enormous stainless steel Samsung at BJs a while back.

I thought they were RCA models with a Dish logo on them?
They are in fact RCA manufactured TVs. Pretty damned heavy ones at that.

There was also a 40" LCD that was offered. They came with an analog tuner and DVI instead of HDMI.

Both came bundled with a 921 DVR.

Isn't there an emoticon for that?

There is,just not at satguys.I have come across several posts that I would have loved to have used it though.Maybe Scott will add it for us.

Stainless steel?Are you serious?

Just a google search, insert image from another site. Now that it's here, Scott can grab it and put it in as a standard emoticon, hint hint.

at one time there was a stainless refrigerator with built in tv. :D

I still see reefers with LCD screens built in. DK if they can display TV/video, though. The price tag keeps me from getting too close.
