Friend of mine has Dish network with a BS1D1UP201M E01 what lnbf is this? and where can he find it? His died and he wants to replace it.

never heard of that. its easier to just look at the lnb and tell us what is says. dp? dpp? digital?
there must be some writing on the lnb besides that model number.
when you run a checkswitch (menu 6-1-1...) it usually says what type of switch or lnb is installed. this info might be helpful to get your question answered.

I'll ask him to look it does say Digital Lnbf on it along with the numbers I posted, he has a 7200 receiver, I'll ask him to do the (menu 6-1-1...) see what he gets. Thanks

I think he has a Dish 500.

or, if its the origional install with that ancient a receiver, anything could have died. based on the receiver model, its probably a legacy lnb, but it could still be a twin, quad, or duals with 21switch. any of those would work with a legacy receiver. also, a dpp twin would be fine for a replacement.

7200 have been deactivated, your friend should have received mailings and phone calls to that effect. Dish wanted to give him a new receiver, but he ignored them.

note the OP location ;)

but since its a 7200 its probably a Legacy Twin or 2 Legacy duals with a SW21 :)

eh its all good ;)

I googled the part number and was lead to 2 or 3 threads. Thats why I tried the search then and found a bunch of posts of "what is it" but it didnt say what it was. The post I linked helped :)
