couldn't i just hook the tv out on my 301 to the input port on the dtv pal and have a dvr system set up that way?

Could they have enabled that feature? Yes

Did they? No

Great hardware I'm sure, but its all handicapped.

no, the Pal DVR is for recording Digital TV only. it isn't crippled if it does what it's supposed to...

So is this box worth getting to record stuff ota. How many hours can you record with it and will it work two tv's like a 722.
