Dish Hopper 3 Wins Reviewed.Com Editors Pick for CES 2016

I think $15.00 is worth it for 16 tuners. DISH has actually given us something of real value for your money. Now if they went up to $15.00 and I kept the same old 3 tuners I would complain LOUDLY. But thinks to "grandfathering" -as long as it lasts - I can stay with the $12.00 dvr fee - until and IF I decide to upgrade to the hopper 3 , new dish and hybrid lnb.

I cannot CONCEIVE using 16 tuners in my household. But I am surprised how often I need to record on HWS #2 from HWS #1.

But I have only 3 of 4 active TVs hooked to Dish. 2 HWS and 1 Joey. Joey TV is used so rarely I should shut it off.

So until I get an UHDTV, this is probably a pass.

I wonder if this H3 will backfire with a certain percent of customers. Those with no UHDTV and no plans for such, and few if any kids in the house. 1 or 2 people in the house might well prefer the redundancy, and sufficient timers, of two HWS.

I have conflicts all the timeon my HWS, but there is always a rerun of one of the conflicts programs at another time. I haven't missed a desired program yet.

16 tuners will be a blessing for me. I have added a lot of 10 minute end late to bunches of timers because of programs ending pass the timer end time. The 10 minute add on causes lots of conflicts. Having 16 timers will solve that.
