I came from Directv to Dish and I've been pretty happy with the hopper. One issue I've noticed is the guide program information is lacking sometimes. For instance the first air date seems to be incorrect many times. Last night I had was watching an episode from South Park. In the program info it was pretty basic. First air date said 1997. The description was a brief description about the show, not the episode. This season and episode number did not appear. The actual show. October 6, 2006 should be season 10, Ep8.
Also I have noticed the same with channel 212 the blaze TV. I set the Glenn Beck radio show and Glenn Beck Program to record only new.
I noticed it recorded all the shows aired that day since both programs repeat a few times a day. When you look at the program description on the duplicates it shows as it's a first time or new airing. I fixed it by just telling it to record it Monday through Friday at the same slot.
Does dish network receive the same information from the networks that Directv does? Anyone have similar issues coming from DTV to DISH?
