Dish HD opinions

Ive recently subscribed to the HD package. I have 3 comments.

1-ESPN HD SUCKS because only a small percentage is HD. Most of the time there is gray bars.

2- TNT does not even look like true HD. It doesnt look as clear as the others and it sorta looks stretched.

3- There should be more HD programming. Slim pickens to chose from. 5 channels whoopee do!

1. HD cameras are expensive to send to sporting events. How many would ESPN need to buy and does it makes sense for them to do so?

2. TNT is an upconverted SD signal. Only shows that are originally shown in HD will be true HD.

Now that Sports Center, NFL Prime Time, Countdown, etc. are in HD. I'm a lot less concerned with them. They also have a susbstantial amount of their "big" games in HD. I'm no longer mad at them.

TNT can look good when they feel like it. They just don't feel like it too often.

Sports on TNT looks great in HD... and some of the evening movies are in HD as well... Definitely better then the programming selection seems to be on Bravo HD+ / Universal HD
