Dish Getting Me Pizzed

Have had DVR for over two years, love the system, but for three months my recorder has been messing up , it records, but when you play back it stops, loses sound and you need to press play again to make it work till the next stoppage, wife has been on the phone and they say it is a known problam in the area?? Sounds fishy to me, the recorder acts like a unit that the hard drive is about shot, I haven't talked to them myself on the phone since I have a hearing problem! What is their responsibility with this?? Thanks in advance for any help, too darned bad we can't use a hammer when talking to some of these folks?

Perhaps there is a software issue with your DVR. 501,508,510,522,625,612,622,722 ??

Thanks for the reply, it is a 625, is this something they could fix with a download??

Maybe, there is alot they can fix (or break) with a software update. Or it could be that there is something wrong with the receiver that can't be fixed. You should be able to talk them into replacing it for you.
