I have a dish 501 can I receive bell programming on this receiver

It might sound obvious but it is a DISH 501 NOT a BELL 5100.

Bell have a list of all the receiver #'s that are in their inventory, your receivers # will NOT be in that list.

easiest answer is no

reason behind it...sure Dish makes Bell boxes but the R & S #'s (receiver and serial number) is tagged as a Dish box or a Bell box and they are not interchangable

Tried to take a 301 and put it on a Bell account...nope. Had to get their box
