DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

I guess the question that I have is, does incorrect spelling and grammar on an internet forum rate as stupidity to you?

I know that I miss a number of spelling errors these days (the ones I used to catch) for two reasons: 1) my eyes! Yeah, I know that I am supposed to wear reading glasses or have a pair of "computer glasses" made at Costco...but at age 49, I am not disciplined at wearing the darn things ~and~ 2) more than half of my posts are now made on my Android phone with the itty bitty screen. As much as love the SatelliteGuys app...I sure wish it were capable of zooming-in on threads and posts. In my case, I'm not stupid...just stubborn, which is probably a subtle form of stupidity. ;)

Regardless, I don't worry too much about it these days since,...well, since I could probably eat a box of Alpha-bits and crap a post better than most. And I don't nitpick nor parse anyone's posts unless they are over-the-top nonsense. Just my two cents...

While I know that some of the thread shifted to the discussion of grammar of posts, please remember that AMC Networks (formerly Rainbow Networks) include Sundance Channel, We TV, and IFC along with AMC if anyone is thinking it is off-topic to discuss Sundance Channel, We TV, or/and IFC.

I don't think many people would miss any of those, even those who would greatly miss AMC because of its original programming. Those others are only in SD, and are bested by other channels with similar programming in HD. AMC is the only one of the bunch that's worth anything.

I watch films on IFC every now and then. Of course, I don't see much difference with the movies being offered on AMC these days...Kill Bill I and II and playing on IFC this evening, and I noticed a couple Meryl Streep movies and Three Stooges on tap tomorrow. Hmmm. It seems like the films that used to be on AMC are now on IFC and AMC is showing a lot more scripted series. Go figure! As far as WE and Sundance are concerned...I personally don't know anyone who watch these channels. It seems like Lifetime and LMN overshadow WE, and I still can't figure out who would watch Sundance when there are so many other/better choices out there.

Looking for IFC after seeing that Independence Day was on only to find out that it's in the 390s and my favorite movie (Kill Bill) is on. I love and hate watching KB on IFC because it's uncut but then hate it because IFC has commercials. Good thing I have the Blurays of both Kill Bill 1 & 2.

IFC and Sundance used to be much better, showing independent and avant garde films that no one else had.

I agree. Ifc has shortfilms and real indepenent low budget movie i nevor heard of and were good and comerical free. But now its more mainstreem. Now malcome in the middle is on it. That was a fox network show like family guy and american ideal are. How is that independent??
