Again with the inscrutable reference that I had to look up! This is an expression apparently derived from the UK. I am unaware if you spent any time in the UK. Did you?The Dish Hopper Plus May put paid to that idea.

They need to do something to improve their services, they are about to be smacked around by Star Link, not just in residential, but businesses ( Airlines for one example). That's what I was thinking, too. I Think Excede and Hughes both are adding new Sats to their Internet service
Delivery is not the only problem, Broadcasters/Channel Providers are the other problem, they are the ones who are speeding up the decline of Traditional Providers like Dish.I believe there is AT LEAST ten years of Dish satellite delivery left. And Dish will have an alternate delivery method in place long before then. Beyond Sling.
Not much. Maybe too many British shows? Didn’t think it that unusual.Again with the inscrutable reference that I had to look up! This is an expression apparently derived from the UK. I am unaware if you spent any time in the UK. Did you?
One benefit to a traditional service is "one stop shopping". You don't have to have one app to watch Mandalorian, a different app to watch The Walking Dead, a third app to watch Property Brothers, etc, etc.So people will come to think, why pay for a Traditional Service when I can get the same and more content on on their apps instead with a lot more new/original content for ( as of now) a less expensive price.

Till the bitter end.Yep, traditional service is much more convenient, the question is how much is having that convenience worth?
You sub to one when you need it..then drop it when you don't...not all 8 at the same time..all the timeI'm not gonna sub to 5, 6 or 8 streaming services to see something that's gonna show up a day or week later on a related linear TV channel. I refuse to do that. I can be patient and my wallet is not unlimited in its depth...
Till the bitter end.
Just keep one for a month then switch to another next month...its all on demand with streaming..very flexableThe bitter end seems to be getting closer. The content providers keep raising their prices while losing eyeballs and providing less original scripted shows. The cable replacement services keep raising their rates while losing subscribers as are the cable and sat services. At some point the consumer has to start speaking louder with their wallets IMO.
The current problem with live streaming is there are lots of them that are “almost” as good as cable/sat starting @$65/month but if you want all that you had with cable/sat the more likely price will be a lot more than that and still be missing some wanted channels.

You dont need recordings with streamingYes, you can do that though with a live streaming I tend no to since you have to go through setting up recordings

They always also offer VOD just like cable.too..sometimes you just have to learn to changeYou could make that argument but you might get some pushback considering live streamers are quite similar to cable/sat

Good luck with that...that will eventually go away anyway...modern streaming services such as peacock bunch up the ads at the beginning of the movie or tv show making commercial skipping irrelevantAnd like unskippable ads

Agreed, It's already been announced that once the Marvel The Eternals leave the theater at the end of January, it will be put up on Disney + in February. Sort of made out decision then and there.I'm not gonna sub to 5, 6 or 8 streaming services to see something that's gonna show up a day or week later on a related linear TV channel.
