Dish compatability

Ok I have I dish network (old) 1000 receiver. What dish antenna would work on this receiver. I know a dish 500 but I don't know which lnb's. I have had several answers from several places & want to make sure I'm getting one without all the hassle. (if that's possible)

Dish 300 or Dish 500 will work fine...Make sure the LNB's (the "eye") are LEGACY

DishPro has a huge "DP" on them...don't use them. Legacy will say "Dish Network" on them.

Don't bother trying to hook it up. The 1000 receiver was obsoleted about 1 1/2 years ago and is no longer supported. Dish will not activate it if you call.

I think you are thinking of the 2000, it doesn't work with the yellow cards.
