Dish box swapped appearing on line

For commercial accounts we were told that Dish need to replace all of our current boxes. The operator said that all commercial account have to have smart card starting with 23.... They did the swap and did not hook any phone lines or Internet. Box models 222k old/new 211k old/new. Now went looking at the account on line, the 211 shows it has a internet connection. Yes we have a locked broadband connection but our IT guy said one of the boxes in pinging on line. Is this possible with a 211?

Perhaps they missed one or someone re-purposed a ViP211 (took it home?). All ViP series boxes have networking capability. The 411 was a non-VIP version of the ViP211 and it didn't feature networking.
