I am anxious to see how much of the BB content will actually be new. I got the update last night and now show the Blockbuster Movie Pass in the DVR menu. After selecting the BB menu it appears it has taken me to what used to be the Dish online content. I hope this is not just a rebranding of Dish online and will actually offer decent movie content. I know it is not Oct. 1 yet and I hope my speculation is wrong.
I know I've already quoted and responded to this once, but I just saw that they renamed one of the entries in the DVR menu too. In the case of the 722k, there's no s/w update invovled. Anyway, yeah, it reads "Blockbuster Movie Pass" on the main menu. Select it and ..... ooops, someone forgot to change the logo on the next screen. It still says "Dish..."...and now show the Blockbuster Movie Pass in the DVR menu. After selecting the BB menu it appears it has taken me to what used to be the Dish online content.
I ask again. Where is the Blockbuster option on the menu and what software do you need to get it?
So I see the new Blockbuster Movie Pass option on the menu. Oh brother! Click on it and there is the old, sad UI. Zillions of selections, presented five at a time, ever so slowly. Is this somebody's idea of a joke or are more changes coming, dare I say, soon?

As I mentioned just a few posts up, on the 722k, I'm seeing the new menu entry and THERE WAS NO SOFTWARE UPDATE INVOLVED. I'm running the same version as I have been for many weeks now. Don't know the number off the top of my head though. Checked dishuser.org and it says L688 is current and that sounds awfully familiar.I ask again. They could have waited to update the menu entry too, but didn't.... My money says it ain't gonna change. I hope I'm wrong though !! As EatMyVolts says, the interface is horrible to use, slow, etc, etc.October 1 is Saturday, folks. Not yesterday, not today. Saturday.
Nothing wrong with getting their ducks in a row. But again, the SERVICE starts tomorrow, good or bad. They could have waited to update the menu entry too, but didn't.... I'm assuming you need to have HBO to see the HBO content, correct?HBO content is now available to stream on Dish on Demand/Blockbuster Movie Pass.....thats new as far as I know.
I would assume so. I sub to HBO and it's there. Having it is a MAJOR improvement to Dish on Demand IMO.I'm assuming you need to have HBO to see the HBO content, correct?
