Dish Bid Against Itself to Drive Up AWS-3 Auction Prices

I see a similar tactic used to inflate the LightSquared bankruptcy bidding to ensure that the debt that Charlie purchased (at 50% value) would get paid in full.

Charlie always bids stuff up to screw with his competition.

Look what he did to Rupert Murdoch with the 110 Dbs licenses. He made him pay all that money for the licenses, let him build the satellites and ended buying the company which was paid for in Dish stock

Or his obvious up bids on Sprint and Clearwire against Mayoshi Son. Hell, he even admitted to it when he made the bid. Something about he wouldn't mind paying that price, but was really just wanting Son to pay more if he could.

Yeah, I saw that days ago in another article (I knew about the "minority" companies) and thought it was sadly funny. It seems like Dish is willing to do some of the same dirty things much bigger companies have been doing from day one. We should note that both AT&T and Verizon have both "mis-used" the partial ownership of "minority" companies and also "bid against itself" in past auctions. Hardly a new trick for the big boys, but new for Charlie. As bad as Charlie can be, he really is too ethical to be competing with the huge companies. This just highlights how EVIL the much larger competition is compared to the worst Ergan can conjure from his heart.
